I'm personally new to the Uke, but my family have been players for 3+ generations. When my grandmother passed away last year at 99, I was given her two Ukuleles, which she played up until the week she passed. They aren't anything terribly fancy, just an old Gold Tone Soprano and an old Kingston Soprano, but she loved to play and played them for decades. I picked up an Oscar Schmidt Concert a few years ago when I decided to take up the family instrument, but I haven't had much success with it. I just can't keep it in tune. I'm going to run it to my local shop to see if they can offer me any suggestions. Just a couple months ago, I bought a Vineyard Concert from a Uke shop in Bedford, PA and I love it! It's a great starter Uke. It produces fantastic rich sound and looks great! I highly recommend it for anyone just starting out on a Concert.
