Ukulele Video Lessons - Minor Chords. These instructions tell you how to play the minor chords on a ukulele. The chords are something that you will need to know to continue with your ukulele video lessons. You can also use the ukulele chord chart in conjunction with the videos.
Am – Place your middle finger on the second fret on the G string. Another way to play it is with your pointer finger on the third fret on the A string, your ring finger on the fifth fret on the E string, and your middle finger on the fourth fret on the C string. Place your pointer finger on the seventh fret on the A string, place your middle finger on the eighth fret on the E string, place your ring finger on the ninth fret on the G string. The last way you can play A minor is to bar the twelfth fret with your pointer finger.
Bm – Bar the second fret with your pointer finger and place your ring finger on the fourth fret on the G string. Another way to play B minor is to place your pointer finger on the fifth fret on the A string, place your ring finger on the seventh fret on the E string, and place your middle finger on the sixth fret on the C string.
Cm – Bar the third fret with your pointer finger and place your ring finger on the fifth fret on the G string. Another way to play C minor is to place your pointer finger on the sixth fret on the A string, your ring finger on the eighth fret on the E string, and your middle finger on the seventh fret on the C string.
Dm – Place your pointer finger on the first fret on the E string, your middle finger on the second fret on the G string, and your ring finger on the second fret on the C string. Another way to play D minor is to bar the fifth fret with your pointer finger. The last way to play D minor is to place your pointer finger on the twelfth fret on the A string, place your middle finger on the thirteenth fret on the E string, and place your ring finger on the fourteenth fret on the C string.
Em – Place your pointer finger on the second fret on the A string, place your middle finger on the third fret on E string and place your ring finger on the fourth fret on the G string. Another way to play E minor is to bar the seventh fret with your pointer finger.
Gm - Place your pointer finger on the first fret on the A chord, your middle finger on the second fret on the C string, and your ring finger on the the third fret on the E string. On the fifth fret, hold down the A string with your pointer finger, hold down the E string with your middle finger on the sixth fret and on the seventh fret hold down the C string with your ring finger.
