Ukulele Video Lessons - Major Chords. These instructions tell you how to play the major chords on a ukulele. The chords are something that you will need to know to continue with your ukulele video lessons. You can also use the ukulele chord chart in conjunction with the videos.
A Chord – Place pointer finger on the first fret of the C string and place the middle finger on the second fret of the G string.
B Chord – Use pointer finger to hold down the two bottom strings on the second fret. The middle finger holds down the C string on the third fret and the ring finger holds down the G string on the fourth fret.
C Chord – Place ring finger on third fret on the A string. All other strings are open.
D Chord – Place pointer, middle and ring fingers on the top three strings on the 2nd fret.
E Chord – Place pointer finger on the A string on the second fret, middle finger on G string of third fret, ring finger on C string and pinky finger on E string.
F Chord – Place pointer finger on the first fret on the E string and the middle finger on the second fret on the G string.
G Chord – Place pointer finger on the second fret of the C string and the middle finger on the second fret of the A string. Then you place your ring finger on the third fret on the E string.
Once you have gone through the instructions, you should be able to play the major chords on your ukulele. Practice the fingering on your ukulele and you will find that you will be able to play the chords without having to think about them. These major chords are the ones that are going to get you started with learning the ukulele and impressing people with what you can do with a ukulele.
