This series of ukulele video lessons, you'll learn how to pick on the G scale. Scales are a very important part of the tutelage of all musicians, an even though it might not be quite as exciting as learning how to play a brand new song, it is vital. Learning the scales gives you greater knowledge of your instrument and where you can find all of the notes that you might need. It is actually rather easy to do, and you will find that it’s a great way to practice getting your fingers to move faster across the fretboard. Many musicians will use scales as a means to warm-up, and you may want to do the same.
In this lesson, we’ll start off on the open C string. From there, we play the C string’s second fret, then the open E string. Move to the second fret on the E string, then the third fret on the E string. Next, you will play an open A string. Follow this with a by the second fret of the A string, then the third A string fret, the fifth A string fret, and then the seventh and the ninth on the A fret. Move to the tenth fret on the A string, then the twelfth A fret, the fourteenth A fret, and the fifteenth fret on the A string.
After going up the scale, it is time to come back down. Again, you can refer to the lesson. We also have a guide right here that you can follow.
Start on the fifteenth fret on the A string, move down to the fourteenth fret on A, then the A string’s twelfth fret, the tenth fret on the A string, the A string’s ninth fret, the seventh A string fret, the fifth A string fret, the third and then the second fret of the A string, and an open A. Then move to the third fret on the E string, the second E string fret, and an open E followed by the second fret on the C string. Finally, play an open C string.
Even though they might be simple, they are essential to your understanding of the instrument. The ukulele video lesson to learn how to pick on the G scale will help you.Return to Home Page
