It might seem strange, but this song, as well as many country songs, actually sound very good when they are played on ukulele. Of course, you can say that about most songs! “Amazed” really does sound fantastic though, and a part of that is due to the melody and the rhythm of the song. A little background on this ukulele video lesson...

Even though we might think of this as a classic country song that crossed over into the pop charts today, it actually took a long time for it to reach the US Top Ten. In fact, it took 30 weeks and holds the record of being the song that took the longest. It was the little song that could.

In addition, this song helped to make Lonestar the first country band to reach the top spot on the Hot 100 since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers did it in 1983 when they released a song called “Islands in the Stream”.

In the UK, the song only reached the #21 spot despite selling around 180,000 copies. Not only that, the song is one of the most popular song at weddings in the UK for first dances.

The song was not actually written by Lonestar. As with a number of pop and country acts, there were other songwriters working behind the scenes. Three writers from Nashville worked on this song. The writers Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, and Marv Green collaborated on the song. During the time of the writing, Chris and Aimee were in the middle of actually falling in love, and they drew upon their emotions when creating it. You can really feel this come through in the lyrics and the music.

Despite not writing the song, it was Lonestar that made it famous. Their singer, Richie McDonald says that even though they’ve been performing the song for well over a decade, they still like doing it. They know that a song that is as powerful and popular as “Amazed” only comes along once in a blue moon. They know that it pushed their careers onto the next level. Of course, they also know it is something that the fans love and have come to expect at the shows.

This song is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written, and just about everyone knows it. Of course, this means it has the potential to be one of the most popular songs in your repertoire once you learn it. It’s a fun song to learn, and when you take ukulele video lessons, you will find that it makes learning fast and simple.
