Regal

Regal Ukulele c. 1950?

Regal Ukulele c. 1950?

Regal Ukulele c. 1950? headstock serial number inside

Actually wondering if anyone out there can help with identification of my vintage ukulele. It was a gift from my father, who is Hawaiian (born in Honolulu). His grand aunt and my great grand aunt is none other than Lydia Aholo, the adopted daughter of Queen Lilioukalani, and his uncle (mother's brother) was Alfred Apaka.
Back to the ukulele...it is a Regal, with numbers inside the sound hole 8671HT420. The original papers, warranty card, tuning info, and an old Roy Smeck song book were in the original case too, and say that it is a baritone ukulele and should be tuned as such. However, the scale length is 17 1/8 inches, which is closer to a tenor ukulele. So I am confused.
If anyone reads this and can help, I would be forever greatful.

Aloha

Scott
