I know the feeling! I bought my Mahalo Les Paul uke because I needed a uke that would fit in my suitcase when travelling. I'd had a cheap soprano before and it was so bad I ended up giving it away so I wasn't expecting much from the Mahalo - but it is great, easy to play, stays in tune forever and has a great sound. Not to mention that it looks pretty cool in shiney black.
