Kala KA-MS

I got this soprano uke about 18 months ago. It's the most beautiful uke i have seen and I think it looks better then the one they use on their website. It comes with Aquila strings, which have a beautiful sound and you can put them on a cheap uke and make it sound ok.

The sound is very good, but a little flat if you are really picky, and I mean really picky. I only noticed, when I started looking at buying another and tried a Martin SO, twice the price as the Kala.

For the price I have not found it's equal. If you are serious about playing the uke, I'd go for a solid one, this is laminate.

I am currently in the market for a new uke but looking on the internet. I cannot find one that compares to the way this looks for less than £1k, which I do not have.

As a starter or second uke I would definitely recommend this. I could keep playing this for years to come, but I like buying things so am going to get a solid Koa made in Hawaii uke as soon as I find one I am happy with in the UK, hopefully a Koaloha.
