I play a Kala Soprano Ukulele

While growing up, my Dad played a Gibson guitar in church. Coming from a family of 9 siblings, my Dad wanted one of us to play a guitar, but I wanted to play the clarinet. My brother played a trumpet and another one played a trombone. I know my Dad would be so happy to know that I now have the urge to play guitar. Nine years ago after retiring I started taking a few lessons and teaching myself with self help books to play guitar. I would start practicing about 4 hours a day until my fingers toughened up, then I would put it away. I just discovered that the Ukulele has 4 strings instead of 6 strings. I never knew that. WOW! Only 4 strings! I can do that, because I know a few chords already. I started searching the web for ukuleles and purchased a Kala ukulele. I am so happy with it. This is my first one but it sounds great! I know that this will not be my last uke either, I would like to get the concert size which is a little larger. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to tell how much I enjoy my ukulele.
